Barre Workshop
Fun. Energising. Strengthening.

This fun Barre workshop session brings together ballet barre work, and Pilates mat work. Offering a strengthening and flowing ballet inspired workout session that stretches, and strengthens the muscles of the body while improving posture and balance.
Beginning standing with a ballet barre warmup (do not worry if you are a ballet newbie or have never been to a Barre class before) we will be working with alignment and movement from a strong centre, flowing with the breath and the music, we will then pick up the pace and engage the midsection! We will then move into core focused mat Pilates which stretches and strengthens the muscles of the body, using the music and breath to find fluidity through the movements.
This low-impact exercise is brilliant at helping you discover muscles you did not know you had, at the same time you will leave the room an inch taller finding your inner ballerina poise.

NB: This workshop is a mixed ability Barre suitable for beginners and more experienced students.
Students need a good level of fitness and balance. Not for those who struggle with balance and standing for a long period of time. Students need to be able to stand and get down to the floor.
